Turkish Q1 GDP contraction could be double -digit : CB

ANKARA, April 30 – Turkish Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz said on Thursday Turkey’s economy may contract by double-digits in the first quarter of 2009.

Yilmaz told a news conference to present the bank’s inflation outlook that the bank expected economic growth to resume from mid-2010.
