Plenitude Q3 net profit up 18% to RM30.7 million

Bernama – Saturday, May 30

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Bernama) — Plenitude Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended March 31, 2009 rose by 18 percent to RM30.7 million from RM25.9 million in the same quarter of 2008.

Revenue rose by 12 percent to RM112 million from RM99.6 million previously.

In a statement here today, Plenitude said the higher net profit was due to the realisation of profit from the disposal of land to Ikano Johor Jaya Sdn Bhd for RM64.4 million.

Plenitude said its development projects continued to attract interests from home buyers and investors alike despite operating against a backdrop of a soft property market.

During the quarter under review, Plenitude said it has launched the Bayu Feringgi project in Penang.

“The project, with a gross development value of RM184.2 million, is scheduled to be completed by 2012. It comprises semi-detached houses and luxury condominium units,” it said.

The company said currently it was developing residential and commercial projects in the southern, central and northern regions of Peninsular Malaysia.

“The projects are Taman Desa Tebrau and Tebrau City in Johor, Taman Putra Prima in Selangor, Changkat View Condominiums, Kuala Lumpur and Bandar Perdana and Lot 88 in Kedah,” it said. — BERNAMA
